In my role as Art Director and Prop Artist for this project, I was tasked with several key responsibilities. Firstly, I was responsible for defining the overall aesthetic, tone, and feel of the game, with a particular focus on ensuring immersive game world experiences and a clear design flow for gameplay. This involved working closely with the initial concept art provided by the publisher, refining and adapting these ideas to suit the demands of a 3D game environment effectively. Additionally, I oversaw a diverse team consisting of 18 in-house artists, managed two outsourced companies, and coordinated the work of four freelancers, all comprising animators, environment artists, and VFX specialists. Detailed scheduling and management of these artists were crucial in maintaining the production schedule. Furthermore, I played a key role in the development of shaders and VFXs necessary for the project's success. Overall, my role encompassed leadership, creative direction, and technical expertise to ensure the game's visual elements aligned with its overarching goals and vision.













Company: Wayforward and Realod Studios
In my role as Art Director and Environment/Prop Artist for World War Toons: VR, I had some important tasks to tackle. This VR content served as a brief introduction to the main game, offering players a 5 to 7-minute on-rails animated VR experience for PlayStation VR. One of my main responsibilities was to work within the tight technical limitations of VR to create an interactive experience using assets from World War Toons. I also made sure that the artistic style and quality remained consistent with the main game by providing direction to the artists. Additionally, I personally handled the modeling, texturing, and lighting for various props and environments throughout the VR experience. Overall, my goal was to bring the world of World War Toons to life in an engaging and immersive VR format.

Company: Wayforward and Cartoon Network
As the Art Director and 2D Artist for Adventure Time: Puzzle Quest, I took on some key responsibilities to ensure the game captured the essence of the beloved show. One major task was developing a pipeline for animating characters that stayed true to Adventure Time's unique style, all while navigating the tight technical constraints of mobile devices. I collaborated closely with Cartoon Network to maintain the game's visual and tonal consistency with the quirky humor and themes that fans adore. Additionally, I oversaw a talented team of both in-house and freelance artists, ensuring that all assets met the high-quality standards expected for such a beloved franchise. Overall, my role was all about bringing Adventure Time's charm to life in an engaging and authentic puzzle experience.









As the Art Director and Prop Artist for Adventure Time: Explore the Nameless Kingdom, I had a range of important tasks to handle throughout the project. One major responsibility was collaborating with a small team of artists to establish an efficient art pipeline, essential for navigating the aggressive 7-month development cycle. I also provided concept art as needed to help the team stay true to the project's visual style. Additionally, I took charge of creating environment art assets whenever necessary to keep the production schedule on track. Moreover, I extensively liaised with outsource companies and freelancers to ensure the timely creation of assets vital to the game. Overall, my role was pivotal in maintaining the artistic integrity and meeting the demands of the project's tight timeline.













Company: The Famous Group
This is the Portland Selfie Race which is an interactive animated short with multiple endings that was created for the Portland Trail Blazers in 2021. This played in the Moda in Portland, OR. For this project I was the director and was responsible for the script, communicating the direction and style of the race to internal and outsource teams, and bringing the assets together with the programming team to create the result. It was a fun project and I always enjoy doing cartoony character driven work!
This is the Call Jacob Lakers Selfie Race which is an interactive animated short with multiple endings that was created for the sponsors CallJacob.com and LA Lakers in 2018. This played in the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. For this project I was the director and was responsible for the script, communicating the direction and style of the race to internal and outsource teams, and bringing the assets together with the programming team to create the result. It was a fun project and I always enjoy doing cartoony character driven work!
This is the Houston Rodeo Selfie Race which is an interactive animated short with multiple endings that was created for the sponsors Chic-fil-A in 2020. This played in NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. For this project I was the director and was responsible for the script, communicating the direction and style of the race to internal and outsource teams, and bringing the assets together with the programming team to create the result. It was a fun project and I always enjoy doing cartoony character driven work!
